Of coarse all the albums are great but I'm going with the

    Bluegrass/Dance  of The Mountain.

Everyone loves a party with good dance music.

'The Hard Way' for me every time.  As I said on the old forum, not only my favourite Steve album, but my favourite album ever. Its a huge inspiration for my own music.

My favorite Steve Earle album is without question Train A' Comin, an American classic that will always speak to me.

I voted for The hard Way.  I think it's funny his best known album Copperhead Road received no votes so far.  I never would have guessed that result.

Man, that was so hard! Eventually chose 'Guitar Town'.

To be honest I love pretty much everything Steve has ever recorded, but what eventually swung it for me was the fact that that album has helped me through some seriously horrible times over the years. Also, just hearing the opening acoustic stumming pattern still makes the hairs stand up on the back of my neck!

    Re: Favourite Album

I'd probably have to pick "The Hard Way."  Some tracks are a lot stronger than others, but overall I felt like he poured everything he had into that album and it really shows.

    Top 5:

    •  The Hard Way
    •  I Feel Alright
    •  Copperhead Road
    •  Guitar Town
    •  El Corazon/Train A Comin'
