OMG I didn't think anyone remembered The Bears.

He comes through Pittsburgh every couple of years and toured with The Bears in 2003 and actually taped the live dvd at the show I was at. They came back last year when they did a short (9 shows) tour.

He is coming with his power trio (Eric and Julie Slick of the Peter Green school of rock) on July12th.

12 days before  steve Earle comes and 12 days after Modest Mouse and I am taking my son to that one.

I haven't had a summer with this many shows in a lot of years.

    Happy Happy Joy Joy

I've never seen the Bears live, but I do own their first two records on CD.

I missed one of Belew's solo tours about 10 years ago due to a nasty case of food poisoning Ick! But was able to catch him with King Crimson a few years later. The KC show was pretty good, but Fripp kept having technical problems with his guitar rig and was visibly pissed. The opening act was the California Guitar Trio and they stole the show.
