wow, i've never heard anyone who is "too damn happy" being so reviled!!!  i guess i can just say, as one of Steve's "addict" fans (you are never a "former" addict....) that i continue to appreciate his music more every year, but then, to each his own, i reckon......i sure know i can't sing like he does and he's overcome a lot in his life that i find very inspiring to my own.....

    Hey there, easy now.

If I have an opinion that is different from yours I get drug over the coals.

Sorry , just not a fan of his last studio album. I think some of the work sounds phoned in, but that is just my opinion. I'm still going to be there when he comes to town and bought the latest live cd. Just feel that he stretched himself to thin with all of his other projects and was not pleased by his latest. Smile have a good day, and see you at the showYes

Brianc read the linear notes from the Sidetracks album.  Steve knew My Back Pages was wrong for his voice, but he recorded it anyway.  Thats what we all love about him.  Music on his terms, not a nashville asskisser.  His words on my back pages are "It sounds like my head is going to explode, and it may".

    Hi Miss, how are you.

glad to make a friend through such an unusual place. I knew when I typed a responce that it would not be popular with everyone, but you know the saying... opinions are like assholes, everbody has one and the majority of them stink.

     but, i digress...

I am going to a show in Pittsburgh toward the end of July I'll be sitting  six rows back and in the middle.

He hasn't come to town since october 2004. With the Dukes and an attitude with the upcoming election and all. I am hoping for more of the same.

Nice to converse with you. see you later in cyberspace.....ComputerCoffee

hey brian, well, my friend, i am a recovering addict, 8 months clean, and sometimes my mouth still gets ahead of my brain...i sure didn't mean to say anything hateful....and, i'm glad you are glad i am here...ha!

in the 20 years of loving Steve Earle, i've only seen him once, life just always got in the way before...

i got to meet him after the show in March, an incredibly warm man, even though he looked like he wanted to sleep for 10 years...

    take care!
