The 1st few times I heard Viva Satellite, I hated it. I then leant it to a friend and got it back 5 years later!  I listened to it again and enjoyed it!

    :-))

I guess it's typical. My most favourite CDs were either immediately great or "what the f*ck I bought". Just "nice listening" is always bad in the end. :-)

BTW since I've arrived home I've been playing my guitar and trying to figure out finger picking because slow songs sound boring when I just play the chords. Waco Moon for instance :-)

And of course I should study. (Labour Law Ick!  )

Washington Serenade, most anything by Todd Snider (except that "his new stuff is nothing like his old stuff was" lol..).Bob Dylan; Kris Kristofferson; Bob Seger; Joan Baez; Billy Joe Shaver and some crazy ass band called "REBEL SON".  That cd is put out by "Hot Rod Hell Records" and called "Choke on Smoke". I got it from my son who got it from a friend, I don't think these guys will EVER get played on the radio......

The Raconteurs - 'Consolers of the Lonely'. Bought this one on a whim over the weekend and it's really excellent. Kind of like a punk band recording a prog rock album in Nashville.
