Re: Live from Austin TX 2
I have the same reservations as you, Viky. I will say this on the Tb tour. He came to my town (Pittsburgh, PA.) twice during that tour. It was my first and second Steve Earle shows and they both were much more energetic than the TB DVD. Hope for the same from the Austin discs.

Re: Live from Austin TX 2
Viky: Is there the tracklist available? Or even some samples? The recording seems to be as old as the Transcendental Blues DVD so I hope the tracklist won't be same. The TB live concert is not much energic so hope this will be better ;-)
Hi Viky, The recording is from November 2000. We don't have any audio samples but here's a tracklisting for the CD - Transcendental Blues
- Everyone’s In Love With You
- Another Town
- Taneytown
- Hard-Core Troubadour
- Someday
- Telephone Road
- The Devil’s Right Hand
- More Than I Can Do
- I Can Wait
- Goodbye
- Steve’s Last Ramble
- Copperhead Road
- The Unrepentant
- Christmas In Washington

Re: Live from Austin TX 2
What happened to Galway Girl? It was on the original ACL broadcast from that show. Fortunately I have the tune in a dvd I downloaded recently, but it should be in the official dvd as well, one of my favorite songs. I don't know if Dan Gillis is still Steve's manager who played also in that song. Gonzalo

Re: Live from Austin TX 2
I actually just got Austin TX 2000 last week. I've watched it four times, and I love it. Not to say it's perfect, but it's as close as we've gotten thus far. Steve sluffs off some of the vocals, and Eric's mic is a bit too hot sometimes. But overall, the band as a whole played great that night, and the setlist is heaven. Could have been longer, but it's a darn fine addition to my collection...now if only Steve hadn't thrown on a Jimmy Buffet shirt I'd be even more psyched about it.

Well said. I got the DVD in late May and have basically watched it at least once a week since then. The show sounds amazing on a big system, the set-list is a dream and The Dukes are hot. The killer version of "The Unrepentant" alone almost makes it worth the price...
