tuco: I'd just like us all to take a moment to think about the genius that is Black Sabbath. Rock on!
Agreed. Led Zep were a good band, but Sabbath's first four kills the entire Zeppelin discography.

I was going to chime in here in utter disagreement after reading the "Sabbath's first four kills the entire Zeppelin discography", but then I realized I would get my ass kicked by all the boys around here, so I've decided to just keep my mouth shut.

EarleGirl44:Ha ha, I was just messin around. Honestly, I totally love both Black Sabbath and Led Zeppelin, and you're right, Sabbath was definitely heavier and more sinister. Not sure what you mean about Robert Plant and a fake "baby baby baby". Ain't nothin' fake about the way Bob "baby baby babies, if ya know what I mean...." Plant and Osbourne are awesome vocalists in their own right. Love em both. I am a huge fan from way back, and I've seen Sabbath with Ozzy and Dio and Ozzy solo and Rainbow and Dio and am hoping to see Heaven and Hell with Judas Priest and Motorhead in August!!! Once a metal head, always a metal head. I am Iron Maaaaaaaaaaaaaannnnnn!!!!!!!
I've got nothing personal against Led Zeppelin, I used to enjoy their music but it has just been so overplayed that I can't stand to listen to them anymore :( I was a headbanger back in the 80s, saw VH, Ozzy, Sabbath, Judas Priest, Scorpions, et al. I got into Lyle Lovett while in college; he was the first "country" artist I liked. Although some would argue the country label :) At any rate, Lovett made it okay for me to like other country and ultimately Steve Earle tung

Gotta diagree with the above I'm afraid. I love Sabbath but Led Zep blow them away.

I saw this group in Birmingham, Al. Casey played violin, not fiddle. Very unusual group. But that is to be expected whenever Bela Fleck is around! Sparrow Quartet is an American acoustic music group that formed in 2005. Its members include Abigail Washburn (banjo and voice), Bela Fleck (banjo), Casey Driessen (violin), and Ben Sollee (cello). The band will release their debut album, Abigail Washburn & The Sparrow Quartet, on May 20, 2008 on Nettwerk Records.[1] Following the album's release, the Sparrow Quartet will embark on a one-hundred plus date tour of North America.[1]

Custer recorded on Copperhead Road, then 2 albums with LS, then returned to Steve.
Beside collaboration wth his father, Eddy was touring and recording with Dwight Yoakum in 80s, played guitar on Todd Snider's Songs for the Daily Planet and probably touring too, (Steve wanted him for Copperhead Road), and !! in 1995 his solo CD "Baptism of Fire" was released - it's "must have"!!! And when I had written how enthuastic I had been about the CD on texicanmusic forum, Shavers' friend replied, that shortly before his death, Eddy had been preparing a brand new CD, which would have been several levels better than Baptism of Fire - that Eddy had learnt a lot in those 5 years. But we will never hear this... And anythng else.
Probably one of the last videos with Eddy
Honky Tonk Heroes from Unshaven. (Steve's fans may notice Craig Wright behind drums). Don't rock the jukebox, wanted is George Jones!!!
