    Re: music-favorites

Really hard to pick one album as my favorite overall by Steve, but "I Feel Alright" is pretty much as close to a perfect album as you can get. Again, though, all of his albums are great and it's quite remarkable to think of how consistently good he's been over such a long period of time. Steve is a rare treasure!

By the way, I'm also a huge fan of TVZ and Guy Clark - the masters.

Who would guess it ;-)))) Guy Clark is superb.

I Feel alright contains my most favourite songs - More Than I Can Do, Hard-core Troubadour, Feel Alright, You're Still Standin' There but also some pieces I use to skip. That's why I didn't pick this

Viky Sweetie... it saddens me to know you skip songs... gosh, I can't believe you'd skip Poor Boy, Now She's Gone, South Nashville Blues, and Billy and Bonnie....Huh?

and CCKMP and Valentine's Day and Hurtin Me Hurtin You and The Unrepentant..... I hope you've since changed your mind :) Jenny

I go in spurts, but I would have to say today that my favorite is Transcendental Blues, closely tied with Revolution...I had never heard anything like either one before I gave them a listen and they have withstood time and life in my attention span!

Missin > Not all of them and every time. But as I recorded all Steve's CDs into my notebook. I usually make my own selection to listen. And Poor Boy, South Nashville, CCKMP, Billy and Bonnie, Valenine's Day and Now She's Gone aren't included much often, whereas the first 3 songs and the last are on the very top of my "hitparade".

But I have all of them in my MP3 player, unlike You Belong to Me from Copperhead Road which I completely deleted when I needed more free space there :D

I can see You Belong to Me is back. But guess what I did with Condi, Condi,  F the CC or Conspiracy Theory. 6 GB is just a bit too little for all my music Stick out tongue

    Re: Jerusalem

Wow we are just grilling with my friends at dorm. And they had to stop their music for a while and forgot to let it play again, so I now I'm playing a playlist full of Steve Earle. And everyone in our surroundings is just listening to The Unrepentant. Devil
