I have to say The Wire is a fantastic show i have 3 complete series and will be getting the other 2. I only watched it because Steve was in it. That's how i became a fan of the show. steve was 3 esp of S1.

Steve wasnt in series 2&3 and was in one esp of S4 and 4 esps of S5. he couldnt fit more filming in due to music / radio commitments. however you do get Steve popping up. ie when someone is going to new york they say " they must be something happening, it's just to big a town." ("NYC") or when Prez switches on the radio it's a Steve song playing (??) so he is never far away .
However, the end of series 2 did have some Steve involvement. beware this may spoil the story line .
