    official taping policy

I'm looking around the site for an official taping policy and can't find one.  Does Steve allow audio and/or video taping at his shows?  Personal use only of course.

Not that I know the guy personally, but from what I remember, he has no problems at all with bootlegging. I think the main concern is getting past security at the venue.

I, for one, praise any human being that can record a Steve Earle concert and will share it with the fans.

I just got my first "bootleg" concert cd and it is so dang awesome, I want more....

You should direct those Q's to Kendall. Maybe he knows.

    hi guys,

I can only answer this question from the standpoint that was passed onto me and that is there is no recording of any kind at Steve's shows.

Of course if this were a hard and fast rule we wouldn't be seeing all those concert clips popping up on YouTube but I think it's safe to say that getting a direct feed into the soundboard isn't likely to happen.

You know what that means don't you... you are going to have to do it by stealth.

Although Steve's not listed, Bands That Allow Taping is a useful site for tapers and collectors:
