I'd also like to recommend everyone check on Myspace for Chelle Rose.  She is an awesome nashville based singer/songwriter, and a good friend.

Todd Snider sounds great, at least most of the songs I heard.
But my second favourite (after Steve) still remains Tom Russell

The Road it Gives, The Road It Takes Away
    Let it Go

(Both from "Borderland" but my most favourite album is "Love and Fear")

Wow, Todd's song for Eddy Shaver, Waco Moon, nearly made me cry. Absolutely beautiful, and incredibly sad and truthful.

Not everyone is so lucky as Steve :-|

Check out Dan Kwas 'A Life Too Long Forgotten' ... resembles Steve Earle and Bob Dylan. Some good songs on this CD. I have the CD and it was my most played of last year, and this year, in fact Cool . His CDs are available from his site or from Amazon. www.dankwas.com

Also, check out my friend and fellow band member, Joel Shawn, on MySpace. His recent album Regine is very good. Another one I've played a lot. CDs are available directly from him.

I am soo glad that Todd Snider is getting some "play" on this website, he really deserves the recognicion.  BTW, he was born in 1966, so he is going to be 42 in October.  Acts and appears a lot younger though, standing barefoot on the stage he looks barely 30. He and Eddy Shaver were good friends, guess they were probably close to the same age. We are spending our "economy stimulus rebate money" on taking a trip down to Texas to see Billy Joe Shaver next month - finally something to thank George W. Bush for!

Yeah, Hayes has got 'it'. Good songwriting. Wry wit. Never boring. The girls seem to like him too.
