missin > Yes, it is football, which you call soccer in the USA. And I'm with you, it's completely out of me (or how to say it in English). I can be a fan of an artist (, scientist or statesman), but no sportsmen at all, especially not a soccer, ice hockey or any other team. Stick out tongueStick out tongueStick out tongue

hey sweetie, growing up in Texas, you had to love football or die...i got so sick of it by the time i was 18 i coujldn't stand it anymore..

except for one season with the (then) Houston Oilers and the quarterback, Kenny "The Snake" Stabler...and, that was probably just because he was so incredible looking, shallow as i am, and his golden hair flying out from under his helmet when he ran downfield...but, after that season, nothing...now, i endure it as much as i can with my husband and sons, but much prefer basebal...

Yes, it's the strange American football. :-P But this is what you call soccer, no helmets at all.

In any case, I'm not a fan of either of it. :-p

Good win for you on sunday. Looks like it's going down to the wire on both sides of the border.

It's squeaky bum time for your lot now for finishing 5th, can't see you doing anything against Arsenal, it's gonna go all the way to the last day.  Hope the Mancs get beat tonight.

Yes mate its going to be tight Villa are going well but West Ham away is never an easy game, good crowd down there!  I was supposed to be going to Arsenal booked my train and accomodation then Sky decide to put the game back to the exact time we head back!  Dont think fans matter anymore.  Got to admit I'd like to see the mancs go through tonight.  I'd like to see an all English final as long as there playing Chelsea!

Typical 'bitter blue' where's your civic pride.  Your right about no one giving a toss about the fans but they have took the money from Sky and they play the tune.

Have you got your tickets for the Philarmonic, my brother has got us seats in one of the boxes.  Never seen Steve Earle before, can't wait.  Been playing Washington SS to death, my album of the year so far.

Yes I guess I am a bitter blue couldnt bear to hear the We've won it 6 times song every time I go to work!  I've not got my tickets yet waiting for confirmation on babysitters and all that malarkey.  I went to Manchester earlier this year and came out feeling slightly dissapointed largely due to the dj (but thats an argument that has been well discussed on these boards). Though saying that I did go on my own and drove to Manchester so I couldnt have a beer and didnt feel that relaxed so a change in venue and a few beers might enhance my experience.  Agree about Wash ss quality from start to finish.

Does he play stuff from earlier albums or is it mostly new stuff. Know what you mean about going to Manchester for a gig, saw the Alabama 3 there on Saturday, came out buzzing, dying for a drink but had to drive back.  Bottle is going over tonights game but dread the thought playing the Mancs in the final.  Most of my mates are confident of beating them in the final but imagine getting beat by them, you would never hear the end of it.

Confident about beating us in the final? That'll be third time lucky then! Big Smile

Be honest, do you really want to play us in the final? Our cup record over the top clubs is incredible.

Re: Hello from the European capital of culture?

Congrats on reaching the final Tuco cant help fancying Liverpool tonight though.  Here's some very grudging respect...They always seem to be able to turn it on for the big european nights, I think Torres is the best striker in Europe and having given players practically a weeks rest its advantage Liverpool for me.  God that hurt!
