    John Walker

Can anyone tell me what has happened to John Walker, is he in jail, has he gone to trial, what were the charges and what did he get time wise, as I'm from the u.k. we dont get to hear. One other thing, I've seen Steve live maybe 8 times now but he never does one of my favourite songs Ben Mculloch, is there a reason?

Hi RichardDoughty, this topic is more for the general discussion area so your post has been moved. Not to worry though it's happened with a few folks so I've specified the description of the Help section to make it clearer that it's reserved for Help related to the site.

    Thanks

I believe he's serving 20 years. I don't know what charge they got to stick, but most were thrown out of court. But 20 yrs is rough for someone when there was no evidence that he was involved in, or planned the murder of Americans; and whose "crime" was to choose to fight a civil war in a country that most people couldn't pick out on a map before 2001 - if they can now.

Link to the Wikipedia article (including a mention of Steve!):

As much as I love and admire many things about America, it constantly amazes me that American politicians believe that you can impose democracy on people (who may not want it to begin with) while denying people basic human rights. I know Wikipedia is not 100% reliable by any means but the story as detailed here is truly appalling...
