The lineup looks great - Steve is headlining on the Saturday, the same day as Seth Lakeman, Devon Sproule, Alison Moorer, The Troubadors etc etc.

Following the amazing sold out successes in 2005, 2006 and 2007 and being presented with the Greener Festival Award 2007, the Big Session Festival returns to De Montfort Hall & Gardens in 2008 to host the fourth festival. This year's festival will take place from Friday 13 - Sunday 15 June and is set to be a complete sell out with the full line-up confirmed including headliners; Steve Earle, Bellowhead and the Oysterband performing a rare Ceilidh set with popular caller Gordon Potts.
Further improvements this year will include a much bigger marquee stage with a proper dance floor (for dancing) and a session bar with open sessions throughout the weekend. Please be encouraged to bring along your own instruments and join in. We will be able to provide a safe and secure place to store your instruments.
