is there any chance a 'music' forum can be established where all things 'not' Steve's can be discussed?  looking around  there really isn't an obvious spot.

I'd second that. There are a lot of musicians closely tied to Steve, or that you might like if you are into Steve's style of music, or you just dig music that is a bit (or a lot) out of the mainstream. I'm thinking Emmylou, Townes, Pogues, Waterboys...anybody really.

I'd also suggest a musician section for sharing chords/tab and techniques, and maybe a section where discussions about lyrics, etc. can take place.

I really like this community - so far the people seem really cool, and there is a noticeable lack of the nastiness that often pervades other boards. So I want to say thanks.

Sure I can create another forum specific for other music. I left the general discussion open for anything unrelated to Steve Earle but if you want more dedicated forums in the Time You Waste section I'm open for that.

Is there anything besides a forum for other artists and a musicians section (talk about your band, share tabs) you'd like to see? Let me know and I can create a poll to see how many people would like that as well.

what about adding a "chat room" ? Those are always fun.

Or maybe it's just me who always likes to talk!

heck, i'd be there, if i could get holed up in the office away from my kids.....i talk too much anyway, and there really isn't anyone around much during the day to talk to, so i am totally fucked up in that regard...

I think a chat room would be fun. Especially since we have such a global, eclectic group of intelligent folks here... we would have to synchronize times to meet. Some people would have to get up really Earley, and some people would have to stay up really late!

Hi iris! Chat rooms are where two or more people can log on and "chat" in real time. You just type what you want to say and hit "enter". It's that simple.  Ya just go back and forth and have an ongoing conversation. It's fun.  -Jenny :)

And when I'm not..... oh well you get the point. I'm not sure if these boards have the capability of a chat room or IM function but I  can look into it and let you know.

My earlier question seems to have been looked over so while I'm checking in would anyone like to see the general discussion section with more specific section for Other Music, Sports, etc, etc?
