    A thread for what we've been listening to most recently (or even right now).

     For me, it's the Mavis Staples album 'We'll Never Turn Back'.

    Really good, a great, swampy take on blues, gospel and music from the civil rights movement.

    Excellent choice Tuco. Love The Staple Singers and Mavis. Pure soul.

    Personally I have been on a NIN trip as of late. Currently spinning The Fragile for the umpteenth time. Gotta hand it to Trent. One of the very, very, few people in the 'biz that I respect these days.

    Have been transferring steve earle lps to i tunes using vinyl converter and doing the same for nils lofgren and getting ready for sprinsteen show friday night!

    this has been on my 'must buy' list since it came out some time ago tuco.  i must finally get it now that you've reminded me.

     i have fairwell cream in the car, mostly for the blues pieces on it....politician and sitting on top of the world.  in rotation in the house is marshall crenshaw's debut, lyle lovett's my baby don't tolerate, bruce hornsby's spirit's trail, bonnie rait's nick of time, and little feat's last record album.

    i have to copy viky (again) and say, besides the obvious, i am listening to Chris Knight a lot....the guys told me about him and i really like his sound, plus he's easy on the eyes and when you are as old as me, you start appreciatin' those young un's again....

     

     

    But nothing is something that there's plenty of

    I guess when you're too busy jamming with friends it takes awhile! To me her best stuff seems to be covers she does live - her version of White Freightliner with Dave Rawlings kills me everytime.

     Same here. Saw her live last year. KILLER, performance. Damn it was good! And yes, release the next album already!
