Martin Guitar Introduces Steve Earle Custom Edition

I don't know if anyone's seen this but Steve has his own custom Martin guitar

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
In 2007 Earle moved to New York City and soon found his way to Matt Umanov Guitars. Matt Umanov, who has been matching players with instruments since 1965, guided his new customer in the purchase of a few Martin guitars and along the way introduced him to the M body style, which combines jumbo (0000) size with 000 depth. The Martin M quickly became Earle's favorite acoustic, so much so that he now tours with a pair of them.

Yes. Since it's a Martin guitar, the price tag will be "Too Expensive".

Ha, almost $3500? I'll pass. Maybe the guy who paid 600 bucks for a CD can afford one, but not this guy! Angry

LOL, that was back when I was young, single, and didn't pay rent.  Now I'm 30, married, and a half crippled poor locksmith.  No more $600 CD's for me.Smile

    ..... on $3700 for a Martin guitar.

he should rework Guitar Town for the add like he did for Chevy with The Revolution Starts Now.

Re: Martin Guitar Introduces Steve Earle Custom Edition

I thought signature guitars were meant to be a bit cheaper so fans could afford to buy them.

Chevrolet is worse than Magners, I didn't know about that until I flicked through one of his biographies the other night.

I remain surprised and maybe a little more confused.

Re: Martin Guitar Introduces Steve Earle Custom Edition

I don't ever see the need to pay that much money for an acoustic guitar.  Martin don't exactly jump out at me for being quality guitars anyway.  Sure, Steve had some say into this design but 4,500 grand? Even if it was Bruce, I'd say it was a rip off!

Steve, get real and sell this guitar at an affordable and sensible price tag that your fans can afford.   After all, if you haven't heard of Steve Earle, you won't be buying this guitar.

I think at around a grand and he'd shift quite a few.
